AMALFI DAY II

Our second day on the Amalfi Coast was spent in the hills of Ravello. Ravello is a small but very gorgeous mountain resort town.  

A big, old green door turned out to be a functioning garage. Also, the seemingly abandoned building was actually occupied by residents who wondered about our fascination with their garage door.

Once the sun went down, the town took on a different energy. It was quite magical.  

An unbelievably blue dusk.  

And just like that, it was over! London came calling 🇮🇹✈️🇬🇧

NOVEMBER!

11.5.14- Is it really November already? Birth-Month is off to a fantastic start! Kicked things off today with the Project Glimmer Pre-Holiday Luncheon. In the Presidio of San Francisco. www.projectglimmer.org

11.6.14- Well, I have Hasti Kashfia to thank for my exciting social calendar thus far. Tonight, along with my sister: Morin Oluwole and fashion-blogger-friend: Monica Living In Vogue, I'm checking out the new luxury wing at Westfield's Valley Fair. 

My look: Top and Hi- waist pants: Ibiss / Heels: Christian Louboutin Glitter Pigalle. 

Craft table at the Mulberry store . Stamped my name onto a leather bracelet. Then selected a clasp closures to  really personalize my creative project. 

LÈ DINER SF 2014

Once a year, 4000 or so San Franciscans don all-white and celebrate the end of summer together with a giant Pop-Up Dinner!  

This year, our group of 6 grabbed a table for 8, and decorated to our hearts' content.Our inspiration for the table was the garden theme I fell in love with at Veuve Clicquot's 2014 Polo Classic. Still feeling giddy about how it turned out!! 💛💛💛💛

Bright marigold accents: simple "School Bus" yellow paper napkins / Burlap placemats (used as a runner) / deliberately informally-laid silver plastic cutlery by Mozaik / Faux Hydrangeas from Michael's Craft Store. 

I added some Kettle Korn to work together with the texture of the Hydrangeas and give us something to snack on during set-up. Marigold flowers added the final punch of orange to complete our Veuve- Garden look. 

Details: The glorious champagne bucket with plastic silver stemmed flutes and striped orange straws. 💛

The best part of all? Decorating this entire table was an under-$50 project! Ok, in all fairness, I borrowed all the silver decorative pieces from Ibiss' décor- namely that gorjusssss Champagne pail.  

And now, we party! On affaire le fête! 

WFH

Working from home pro-tip: make your work area as pleasant as the rest of your home. You'll find yourself gravitating towards your workspace if the area is happy and welcoming. My own (in-progress) workspace is made a little sweeter this week with new prints from Anum Tariq. As I continue to decorate, I remind myself to keep it sweet and happy!

Also, whenever possible, block ALL of your favourite entertainment sites. (Buzzfeed will ruin your wfh productivity!!)
